Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, hopes that agreements between Ukraine and the Republic of Belarus will be fully implemented, and the relations between the countries will achieve a considerably new level. The leader of Ukrainian Parliament made the above-mentioned statement at the meeting with Sergey Sidorsky, Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, on Friday.
V.Lytvyn also deems necessary to unite efforts to overcome the consequences of Chornobyl disaster, boost cooperation in the scientific, cultural, social fields, and promote business relations.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus informed the interlocutor about the results of governmental negotiations, especially concerning mutual visa-free regime and lifting of restrictions on trade operations.
The Parties discussed possible ways of cooperation in the humanitarian field. Thus, they discussed possible study of Byelorussian language at one of the universities of Ukraine, consolidation of efforts of scientists in the field of development of innovation projects.
The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine underscored that Ukrainian Parliament would take all the necessary actions and passed the resolution to eliminate any obstructions in the way towards establishment of efficient cooperation between two partner States.
